This sculpture “Dagger Dragon” depicts the Royal Guard Dagger Dragon "Razor" striking a defensive pose.  It is one of a limited edition of 500, each handcrafted from a carved master by the RGDS's resident artist Nino Nardecchia.

One of the most specialized Royal Guard Dragon sub-species, a Dagger Dragon responds to a summons for help from a prince or princess in danger. When called, the Dagger Dragon flies into its charge’s outstretched hand where it is used like a dagger, and hence its name.

A Dagger Dragon’s tail can lash out and pierce any material known to man and she can flame out to 25 feet at a temperature of over 1000 degrees centigrade.
