This sculpture “Duet” depicts the Royal Guard Dragon "Melody" singing a duet with her friend "Arial" the swallow.  It is one of a limited edition of 500, each handcrafted from a carved master by the RGDS’s resident artist Nino Nardecchia.

Royal Guard Dragons communicate with each other using an audible call which is a cross between a dove’s coo and a kitten’s purr punctuated by clicks and whistles.  Most often, however, dragons use a sophisticated form of telepathy with one another.

Using their power of telepathy to talk, Royal Guard Dragons communicate with humans by receiving human thoughts and emotions and then implanting dragon thoughts and emotions in humans’ minds.
