This sculpture "Fairy Tales" depicts the Forest Fairy "Star Dancer" reading from her magic storybook. It is one of a limited edition of 500, each handcrafted from a carved master by the RGDS's resident artist Nino Nardecchia.

Forest Fairies can be identified by their emerald green eyes and their wings, one or more of which are shaped like leaves.

Each evening Star Dancer appears in the Knarwood Forest and reads aloud from her book of "Fairy Tales".  Soon she is surrounded by creatures of the forest and the Royal Guard Dragons who sit for hours spellbound by the magic of the words Star Dancer shares with them.

The Forest Fairies befriended Royal Guard Dragons when the dragons fled into the Knarwood Forest to avoid persecution from fanatics who feared the magical creatures.  When the last member of the Dragon Keeper Guild died, the Forest Fairies provided the Royal Guard Dragons with the warm energy associated with kindness, laughter and love that Royal Guard Dragons need to survive.
