"Holding Court" depicts the Royal Guard Dragon Lady Delphi with her scepter holding court for the field mouse Fielder.

This sculpture "Holding Court" depicts the Royal Guard Dragon "Lady Delphi" with her scepter holding court for the field mouse "Fielder". It is one of a limited edition of 500, each handcrafted from a carved master by the RGDS’s resident artist Nino Nardecchia.

Lady Delphi is the Royal Guard Dragons’ oracle. RGDS researchers have given her that name because of the similarity between her role and that of the Oracle of Delphi in Ancient Greece.

The mouse Fielder's best friend is a Royal Guard Dragon who snatchers her up and flies her around. The problem is that Fielder is afraid of heights and has a fear of flying. Here, Fielder pleads with Lady Delphi to help stop the flights without hurting her friend’s feelings.
